An impressive concrete structure, an elegant arch that seems to embrace the huge volume of water of the lake, the dam, 200 meters long, successfully held the waters of the Tavropos river, flooding the Nevropolis plain to form Lake Plastira.
Today, it is a beautiful site from where you can view the lake, but also the back side of the dam that descends vertically between the rocks to a depth of 83m. From the Moucha site, you can admire the fjord of the lake and the Niaga island. Local vendors will offer you souvenirs and various local products. Also of interest is a visit to the hydroelectric plant, which is impressive in size; at the time of its construction, it was a pioneering innovative project.
