Xterra, the top off-road triathlon (swimming, off-road cycling, and trail running) event, with more than 170 races in the USA and organizations in 31 countries around the world, was held in the Municipality of Lake Plastira starting from Pezoula Beach.

This was a unique experience for the 300 athletes from 25 countries around the world, who came to the area to participate in the first off-road triathlon race to be held in Greece.

The event offers cash prizes to the winners and potential qualification to the finals of the XTERRA World Championships, for the top athletes in each category.

Greece has been a member of the XTERRA racing family since 2013, as part of the European Tour and the World Tour.

The race includes a 1500m swim, 30km cycling race with mountain bikes, and 10km foot race on mountain trails and forest roads.

All participants from Greece and abroad enjoyed a well organized race in an area of ​​outstanding natural beauty, which left the best impressions and laid the foundation for the establishment of the XTERRA race in Greece.
